My name is Lumin and im from California, but own a company/live in Leidschendam.

I am building a m50b30 to drop into an E39 523i, and wanted to post a couple pics of my slow progress:

The water-pump is a Stewart unit and I will be installing a two speed electric fan to assist with the cooling system
I have had a lot of time on my hands this winter and just have always wanted to build a clean engine.

Out with the old (I was retarded and forgot to leave the leveler accessible:

The Pistons are finally done (Polished Ceramic coated tops, Dry-Film Sides, Teflon coated insides, and fully weight matched to .01 of a gram):

And a painted power steering pump with a power pulley:

All rust is converted and ready for paint

Aluminum silver sure is shinny in the sun

I did a progressive wet-sand then respray.
I am happy with the results:

What are the specs that you want to reach with this engine, torque, kW? Made any more progress?
